Cozy Indoor Activities for Negative Temps

Have you looked at the weather forecast for this weekend?! High of 2 degrees on Sunday! I think our freezer is warmer than that. Might be a good time to have some cozy indoor activities up your sleeve.
Get Cooking
No time like the present to hop on Pinterest (check out Whitefield’s Pinterest while you’re there!) and grab some new recipes. This might even be a good time to allow your kids some alone time in the kitchen.
Open A Book
Sitting inside with a good book on a cold day is a great pastime for any age. Here are some really fun ideas for new coffee table books that will keep little eyes busy for hours. And if you’re totally out of books, check out some of the Read Alouds that our lower school teachers have recorded.
Do The Math
Mrs. DeConink, Whitefield Academy’s Head of Math and Science, put together an awesome list of math games and activities for families to do at home. Don’t have any of these? No problem! Working on a puzzle together or pulling out a deck of cards are easy and fun ways to spend time together.
Make Art
Did you complete every single one of Mr. Appling’s amazing art projects during Whitefield-at-Home? Neither did we! This weekend is a great time to look back at those videos and make some art with things you already have around the house!
Whether you decide to build Legos, work on some sewing projects, or clean out your closets, Whitefield Academy wants you to have a safe and fun long, cold weekend!
