In-Person Classes for Whitefield Academy

by | Aug 13, 2020 | Classical Christian, Education, Kansas City, Uncategorized | 2 comments

What a roller coaster of a ride it has been for the past few months. Who would ever have imagined this time last year that we would have to transition to “Whitefield-at-Home” so quickly in the spring? I cannot say enough what a blessing our teachers were during this period. I am more grateful than ever for their dedication, service, and commitment to excellence for the sake of our children and the Kingdom of God.

That being said, I am also glad that that period of time has come to a close. I believe it is vital that we return to Whitefield-in-Person, in the classroom, on-site, while maintaining and prioritizing the health of our students, families, faculty, and staff.

School will open on campus on August 20. Our goal is to keep routines and programs in place as much as possible so that our students fully experience the mentoring and discipleship that characterizes our classical Christian education. At the same time, we seek to ensure the safety of the students, families, faculty, and staff that make up our school community.

While health recommendations and guidelines will likely evolve, and we will make updates to the plans as needed, one thing will remain constant—we will worship, learn, and grow in virtue together. We look forward to seeing you on August 20th!

Thank you Dr. Johnston for working so hard to open our school. Thank you to all the teachers for the many hours of preparation they have given in order for our kids to learn and grow in their education. Whitefield has always strived to educate our kids to be compassionate and critical thinkers, which is what our world needs today. Praying for our school that it will be a light in our world and in our community. God Bless.
