Music
Music
As one piece of our Fine Arts program, Music is an important part of the picture for every Whitefield student on their way to graduation. Intentional training in music is not merely “extra.” It serves to better prepare our students to perceive and understand this special expression of the beauty of God’s creation and to express themselves musically in creative ways.
Whitefield has a strong tradition of teaching and practicing sacred music, psalms and hymns, often sung in Latin and other foreign languages. Grammar School students experience the foundations of musical literacy through weekly choral sessions, while Upper School students participate in a variety of musical ensembles.
