Theater

Theater

Our Dramatic Arts program is woven throughout our classical Christian curriculum from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. Whether it’s reciting a poem at Grandparent’s Day, singing a hymn in the Christmas Concert, or acting our Bible stories in fifth grade, confidence in public performance is a crucial skill we nurture in our students.

Our upper school students enjoy some particular theatrical opportunities at Whitefield.

Antigone

Eighth grade students annually produce and perform Antigone, one of the Three Theban Plays by Sophocles.

Shakespeare

All 9-12th grade students are invited to participate in the annual Shakespeare production. A different play is chosen each year. As Whitefield students grapple with the Bard’s works, their years of training in interpretation of challenging literature allow them to bring remarkable performances to the stage so that even young audience members grasp the humor and drama.
